C.B. Collaway was scheduled to fight Francimar Barroso at UFC 203 in Cleveland until he was injured in an elevator crash the day before the fight. Dolloway is now exploring legal action according to MMA Fighting.

Dolloway was returning to his room at Cleveland’s Wyndham Hotel after weighing in when an elevator containing Dolloway and a number of other fighters fell a floor to the basement. Dollaway suffered a wedged disc in his neck and a compressed disc in his lower back and had to pull out of the fight.

Dolloway lost out on at least $55,000 by missing the fight. His base pay for his last 3 fights (all losses) was $40,000 to show. Plus he missed out on a potential win bonus which is also probably $40,000. Then there are any secret backstage bonuses or possible fight/submission/KO of the night bonuses he could have earned. While the latter numbers are all very theoretical, I’m sure they’ll be figured into any legal filings.

Dolloway was “awarded” his $15,000 in Reebok sponsorship pay.
