Discretion is the better part of valor. So laugh all you want at Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan falling victim to an invisible sniper seconds before laying a block on Nick Fairley, but know it worked out for the best. Sure, it would have been nice for Ryan to help Devonta Freeman gain a few extra yards at the expense of jeopardizing the franchise. It also would have been completely unnecessary.
Ryan’s tumble left everyone satisfied. The Falcons left New Orleans with a key division win, Ryan left with his faculties intact and we, the viewers, were left with the opportunity for a deep belly laugh. A total win-win-win.
