Ryan Tannehill is not having a good night. Late in the fourth quarter, the Miami Dolphins are getting slapped around by the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football, and Tannehill isn’t helping things.

As the Dolphins trailed 22-7 late, they tried to mount a drive for a score. Miami actually managed to get into Cincinnati territory with 5:03 remaining in the game. Then, on first and 10 from Cincinnati’s 39, Tannehill dropped back and unleashed what is likely the worst throw of the 2016 NFL season so far. Have a look for yourself:

What, exactly, is he trying to do here? His man is covered. He’s staring right at the defender. This isn’t some kind of tricky coverage or crazy defense. It’s right in front of him, and he threw the ball right to the Chris Lewis-Harris.

The only thing I can think of is that Tannehill may have had a dinner reservation and wanted to get the bludgeoning over with.

At the two minute warning, Tannehill is 15-of-24 for 189 yards, with one touchdown, an interception and a fumble. He has also been sacked five times.
