The Ryder Cup foursomes have been announced and no surprise here, but Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed will be first off the tee for the U.S. The two played well together two years ago at Gleneagles and won their first two matches before halving their Foursomes match against Justin Rose and Martin Kaymer.

This year the American duo will face Rose and Henrik Stenson first.

The rest of the pairings are as follows:

The only pairing I’m not excited about is Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson. I think Spieth and Reed are a great leadoff.

Mickelson and Fowler play together all the time and beat Poulter and Kaymer (2 and 1) in 2010.

Walker and Johnson have yet to play together in a U.S. team event.

Johnson and Kuchar were paired together twice in 2012 and won both of their fourball matches against Rose/Kaymer (3 and 2) and Colsaerts/Lawrie (1 up).
