However, Rothstein’s television deal with CBS has been renewed between the two sides, a CBS Sports spokeswoman confirmed. Rothstein will continue to appear on studio shows on CBS, on “Inside College Basketball” on CBS Sports Network, and continue to work as a sideline reporter on game broadcasts on CBS networks.

Rothstein, who has been at CBS since 2010, is the second person from CBSSports.com digital to move his written content to FanRag in the last year (we wrote about a move toward aggregation at CBS last February that was impacting original reporting/writing on the website side of the business). In May, long-time baseball insider Jon Heyman of CBS moved to FanRag, becoming the biggest name to join the network.

Heyman’s move has made FanRag a more attractive option for other writers, and now Rothstein, his former colleague at CBSSports.com, will be joining him.
