Texas has lost two of three games since defeating Notre Dame in the season opener. Today’s 49-31 loss to Oklahoma State was sealed by allowing 37 first-half points. If Charlie Strong’s seat was lukewarm entering the day, it’s a bit warmer now.

OrangeBloods.com’s Anwar Richardson got immediate reaction from Longhorns athletic director Mike Perrin after the final whistle and it didn’t include a full-throated vote of confidence for Strong.

Strong shouldn’t immediately assume he’s being singled out. Apparently Perrin is taking stock of everything in his life.

Yeah, a loss will do that.

Texas may not be back on the field, but questions surrounding the program’s future certainly have returned.

It’s becoming abundantly clear that Texas-Notre Dame wasn’t the battle of playoff contenders many believed it to be.
