Matt Holliday Homered in His Final At-Bat With the St. Louis Cardinals

Matt Holliday had a pinch hit home run in his final at-bat as a St. Louis Cardinal on Friday night. The Cardinals will not pick up the $17 million team option this offseason and thus his time with the team is coming to an end. Holliday was traded to the Cardinals in 2009, was on the World Series team in 2011 and made 4 All-Star games in his time there. He broke his thumb earlier this year and was activated for the team’s final series in case of a scenario just like this one.
