Mike Francesa ripped Odell Beckham Jr. on his show this week and on Thursday he had New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo on the air. Not surprisingly, the two clashed about the All-Pro receiver.

First, Francesa brought up comments by former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, who claimed Beckham was “a distraction.” McAdoo deftly avoided answering his former boss’s criticisms. Then Francesa asked McAdoo about a report that Beckham could be benched or suspended by the team for his on-field actions. McAdoo categorically denied it.

Francesa proceeded to ask about Beckham’s in-game actions and it rapidly became apparent McAdoo was not thrilled with the line of questioning.

Francesa also brought up a list of Beckham’s past transgressions and McAdoo shot down every question. When the host claimed, “I think you guys are doing a lousy job with him,” then said, “I’m going to gather that you condone his behavior,” it was clear the 39-year-old head coach was done with the Beckham discussion.

Woof, that was awkward.
