Cody Kessler Was Knocked Out of the Game on This Safety; Charlie Whitehurst at QB for Cleveland

Hue Jackson, offensive genius, decided to call a screen pass from his own 5-yard line. The blockers blew the assignments badly, and as a result, QB Cody Kessler got destroyed. His shoulder looked injured and he was replaced by Charlie Whitehurst (yes, he’s still in the league).

As if all that wasn’t bad enough … on the throw, Kessler was hit so hard the ball sailed out of the end zone for a safety.

The Patriots lead 23-7 at the half.
