Kansas State Touchdown Celebration is Literally a Gut Punch

Kansas State’s Byron Pringle returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown against Texas Tech on Saturday as part of the Wildcats’ 44-38 victory. After crossing the goaline he repeatedly thumped his padded chest in triumph. His teammate Dominique Heath then came rushing in and decided to deliver a right hook to Pringle’s stomach. The impact was forceful enough to send the touchdown scorer to the turf in pain.

Imagine what he’d have done if Pringle had turned in an average return or, worse yet, fumbled.

Perhaps it’s time for Bill Snyder to incorporate some celebration practice into his itinerary.
