The chasedown block has long been one of the things Lebron James does best. But it became the signature play of his career in this year’s NBA Finals, when with less than two minutes left in Game 7 James chased down the Warriors Andre Iguodala for a block that may have decided the series for Cleveland.
The Cavaliers had been down 3-1 in the series to the Warriors, who set the NBA’s regular-season wins record and had the unanimous MVP.
Well, Tuesday night James erased a Kelly Oubre shot in similar fashion, in a lower-stakes game against the Washington Wizards.
This will be the enduring image of Lebron James.
