Nick Fairley Gave Chiefs Late Costly First Down by Trying to Body Slam Spencer Ware

The Saints needed a defensive stop trailing 24-21, and would have had the Chiefs facing a 3rd and long with a chance to give Drew Brees plenty of time for a drive. That is, until Nick Fairley decided to whip Spencer Ware around and throw him down away from the play.

The Chiefs ended up getting an automatic first down and 15 yards, ran more time, and kicked a field goal with about 30 seconds left, and the Saints had little time to get anything else done.
