Geno Smith Has Torn ACL, So We Can Stop Talking About the Dumb QB Controversy

Geno Smith, one of the worst starting QBs the NFL has seen in the last five years, suffered a torn ACL in the win over the Ravens, and his season is over.

This mercifully ends the dumbest QB controversy in the history of 2-5 teams.

Smith, one could say, has been very unlucky since August 2015. He was pegged to be the starting QB for last season, until he refused to pay a debt he owed to a teammates, and had his face caved in. All over $600.

The broken jaw put Smith on the sidelines, and Ryan Fitzpatrick took the job and proceeded to have the best year of his career.

Then Fitzpatrick held out last summer, and Geno Smith prayed that maybe he’d be the guy … but then the Jets signed Fitzpatrick. Then Fitz turned into a pumpkin, threw six interceptions in a game, and lost his job.

Smith didn’t get to play a half against Baltimore before his leg was crunched. Fitzpatrick came in, rallied the Jets to victory, and now it’s safe to assume Geno’s career with the Jets is over.
