Anthony Pettis currently has a huge mess on his hands. Early Thursday morning someone set three of the former UFC lightweight champion’s cars on fire as they sat in his driveway. The Milwaukee-based UFC star lives in the Southwest area of town near Brookfield, and at about 1:00 a.m. Thursday, neighbors heard a loud bang, then saw the three vehicles go up in flames.

Neighbors claim a car sped down the street just before the blaze began.

Police don’t have a suspect at this time, but believe whoever it was used an accelerant to ignite the blaze. Neighbor Bunny Blaszak called Pettis a good, friendly neighbor and seemed puzzled by the incident.

I lived in Milwaukee for a few years and Pettis is a well-known member of the community. It wasn’t rare to see him around town and he even owns a sports bar that he frequents from time to time. I sincerely doubt it was difficult for someone to find out where he lives.

It’s hard to believe this was some kind of random act, which means Pettis and his family are extremely lucky this wasn’t worse.
