Jon Gruden Has Gone as Chucky for Halloween 17 Years in a Row

ESPN brought a bit of Halloween flair to Monday night’s Minnesota Vikings-Chicago Bears broadcast. At one point Sean McDonough brought out a Chucky mask as an ode to his booth partner Jon Gruden, who bears a strong resemblance to the Child’s Play villain.
Gruden then confirmed a delightful nugget about his typical Halloween behavior. When home, he’s been Chucky for the last 17 years.
“The kids walk up to the door and say ‘I know that’s you, Coach Gruden,’ and I’ve got my Chucky mask on, 17 years in a row.”
Yeah, that’s about right. Gruden is nothing if not a football guy and knows that if a play’s working, there’s no reason to run anything else.
