Maryland’s women’s basketball team, the preseason #6 team in the nation, won an exhibition game on Wednesday night, 146-17. Their victim opponent was Bluefield State College from West Virginia, a division II program with an enrollment of just over 2,000. Bluefield could probably fit in one of Maryland’s commuter parking lots.

Back to the 129-point win. Maryland won the second half, 72-0. All 11 players who appeared in the game scored for the Terrapins. Three of the Bluefield players managed to score. Maryland coach Brenda Frese called the game “a good tune-up.”
