Donald Trump pulled out all the stops at a last-minute rally Monday night in New Hampshire. In addition to reading a letter of support from Bill Belichick, the republican presidential hopeful touted Tom Brady’s support.

"“Tom Brady, great guy, great friend of mine, great, great champion, unbelievable winner. He called today and he said, ‘Donald, I support you, you’re my friend, and I voted for you.’ “This guy is a champ and a winner and he is a great person,” Trump added. “So I said, Tom, you voted for me, you support me, am I allowed to say it tonight to this massive crowd in New Hampshire? He said, ‘If you want to say it, you can say it.’”"

There are several irrefutable facts in Trump’s statement. Brady is a great guy and friend. He is a champion, a winner, and a great person. Just ask anyone in New England.

[UPDATE: According to a report from Boston … Tom Brady did vote. By absentee ballot Monday morning.]

[So Brady voted after his radio show appearance.]

But there is one bit of fact-checking that needs to be mentioned. Brady told The Kirk and Callahan Show on Monday morning that he hadn’t voted because he missed Massachusetts’ early voting deadline.

Huh. Weird.

Three days ago, Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen said “no” when asked if she and Brady were backing Trump.

Say what you want about Trump but he’s definitely succeeded at making the anticipation for Belichick’s and Brady’s media availability great again. It’s going to be must-see television as reporters try to dig up the truth.
