Jerry Jones has finally come out and said what everyone has known for weeks: Dak Prescott is the Dallas Cowboys starting QB, and the Tony Romo debate is over.

After Prescott twice rallied the Cowboys in the 4th quarter on the road in Pittsburgh to beat the Steelers, Jerry Jones said this to the media:

It’s safe to assume that means Romo will be active this week, but he’ll be QB2 on the depth chart. Prescott was incredible again Sunday, recovering from an early fumble and leading Dallas to a hear-stopping 35-30 win in the best game of the season so far.

Prescott tossed a 50-yard touchdown to Dez Bryant in the 3rd quarter on a clutch 3rd down throw, and twice in the 4th quarter drove Dallas down the field for go-ahead scores.

Of course, it helps to have the best offensive line in the NFL, and a star running back – albeit in a rookie – in Ezekiel Elliott (232 total yards, three TDs).

At 8-1, the Cowboys are 2.5 games ahead of the Giants in the NFC East, and are the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
