Kevin Durant Doesn't Get Why Boston Fans Are Ticked He Didn't Pick The Celtics

Boston Celtics fans have been salty since this summer that Kevin Durant chose the Golden State Warriors and not their beloved home team. For some reason, the people of Boston convinced themselves they had a shot at landing Durant after the franchise met with him in The Hamptons during free agency. Durant doesn’t understand why Celtics fans are upset.

"“What can they be mad about? I never played there. I never said I was going there. But they’re going to support their team. It’s one of the best fan bases in the league — top-five, easily. So no matter who goes in there, they’re going to boo them. But I have no attachment to Boston at all.”"

Of course Durant is right on this one. The only fan base that has any reason to be upset with him is the Oklahoma City Thunder’s since he spent his whole career with the franchise and left it for Golden State.

So yeah, Celtics fans need to get over it. Durant was never going to Boston.
