Gregg Popovich does not tolerate mere wins. Last night, the San Antonio Spurs won at home against the 2-11 Dallas Mavericks (who now have the worst record in the league) after being tied at the end of the 3rd quarter. San Antonio was playing without the injured Tony Parker, and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Didn’t matter. Dallas is decimated by injury with Deron Williams, Dirk Nowitzki, J.J. Barea, Devin Harris, and Andrew Bogut all out. They were lead in scoring by Seth Curry.

The best is Pop leaving the room, and then deciding he needed to return through the door to say that Dallas deserved to win the game. Claiming that a lesser opponent deserved the win? I call that the reverse Gundy.
