Bill Belichick Didn't Want to Disappoint the Media (but Did Anyway)

A running gag in the NFL is that, every week, Tom Brady is on the injury report whether he’s injured or not. It’s Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s way of thumbing his nose at the injury report as a concept, and every now and then it’s good for a laugh.
This is one of those times.
Speaking to reporters Friday, Belichick told the assembled media that Brady, who didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday on account of a knee woe, would once again be on the injury report, at which point he probably laughed internally, and said this:
"Was that the answer you were hoping for?" Bill Belichick asks questioner (re: Brady). "I don't want to disappoint you."
