High School Game Ends on Lateraled Kick Return Touchdown after Opposing Fans Stormed Field

Lynn English (Mass.) scored a touchdown with eight seconds remaining to take a 20-15 lead over rival Lynn Classical on Thursday. They forced and recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff. Jubilant English fans, erroneously thinking the game was over, stormed the field to celebrate and work off some calories before Thanksgiving dinner, not noticing their team had been penalized.

Once they were cleared, Lynn Classical broke all their hearts with a game-winning kickoff return. Marcus Rivera took a lateral 83 yards to the end zone for a 21-20 win and, in all likelihood, the best moment of his life.
