The Los Angeles Rams next opponent is the New England Patriots. Jeff Fisher spoke about the Patriots strengths during a conference call. This emerged:

While Fisher did mix up some names, he never actually said Danny Woodhead. Here’s the actual quote via NESN:

"“I’ve been impressed with Brandon and what he’s done out of the backfield. You’ve got to deal with him, in addition to Danny. You’ve got playmakers all around, so we have to play sound defense.”"

The Patriots do have players named Brandon (Boldin) and Danny (Amendola). NESN guesses that Fisher mean James White and Dion Lewis. Is it possible that the head coach of an NFL team thinks Danny Woodhead is still a healthy Patriot? Sure. Is it likely? No, but this is Jeff Fisher so it’s fun to think that. The Rams are 4-7.
