Trevor Siemian will miss Denver’s game Sunday against the Jaguars with a foot injury. It’s a bad break for the young quarterback who is coming off a 368-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Chiefs. All season long Siemian has struggled to fill Peyton Manning’s shoes and replicate his success, so if there’s a bright side to the injury, it’s that it allows copycat behavior.
Siemian is employing the same multi-tasking principles Manning showed while rehabbing his own lower extremity ailment back in 2013. Helmet on, film in hand, toes in the ice bath. It’s not the worst strategy in the world but let’s hope the mirroring stops short of wearing a shirt in the pool.
