Tiger Woods is back [inside the top 650]. Tiger Woods successfully returned to competitive golf over the weekend at the Hero World Challenge. With a full 72-holes under his belt, he has risen in the Official World Golf Rankings from 897 to 650.

According to Golf.com, Tiger was guaranteed to move up to #745 just by showing up. Instead, he shattered expectations with a 4-under, 15th place finish and has moved all the way up to 650. Tiger Woods is rising quickly. I mean, that’s 247 spots. Two-hundred and forty-seven! It is no longer embarrassing to care about Tiger because he is good at golf again. One of the 650 best in the world, in fact. Even on the fastest news day people should care about this. This is news. Welcome back Tiger!

In completely unrelated non-news, absolutely zero people know or care where any other golfer in the world is ranked.
