John Wall scored a career-high 52 points on Tuesday night, but the Orlando Magic beat the Washington Wizards, 124-116. Wall made 18 of 31 shots, including 5-of-8 from 3. He also had 8 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. It was a real slice of life for Wizards fans as Wall was spectacular but the team lost.

Wall is currently averaging a career-high 24.1 points to go along with his standard 9.8 assists (3rd in the league). He’s also shooting career bests from the field, free throw line, and 3-point range. The Wizards are 7-13. The franchise continues to trend downwards after finishing with a .500 record land missing the playoffs last season following two second round exits.

John Wall’s prime is being wasted. And he won’t be a free agent until 2019. The good news is that Kevin Durant can opt out of his contract this summer and the Wizards can be completely ignored for the second year in a row.
