John Tavares of the New York Islanders made a fantastic individual effort to score against St. Louis on Thursday night. He was able to shake off Jay Bouwmeester with his stick behind before setting up camp in front of the net and rocketing a shot into upper left corner of the net.
His goal helped the Islanders to a 3-2 victory. Sometimes hard work pays off for both individual and organization.
