President-elect Donald Trump made an appearance in the CBS booth during the third quarter of Army-Navy. It was electric television for people fond of profound awkwardness. Perhaps the most notable part was Trump remarking on the quality– or lack thereof — of the triple option football being played.
The Black Knights and Midshipmen combined for five turnovers in the first half and a sixth happened during Trump’s visit so the future president’s assessment is a reasonable one.
But, hey, sloppy and entertaining is a fine combination for viewers.
