Melvin Gordon Injured, Carted Off Field, After Jumping on Loose Ball Following Fumble

Melvin Gordon suffered an injury on a bizarre play that involved a Philip Rivers fumble. Gordon was out for a short pass when Rivers lost the ball. Gordon tried to jump on the ball, but was hit from behind, and also ran into the large scrum going for the ball in front of him.

His body was contorted in a painful way, and his head went into the opponent. He was carted off the field and is questionable to return.
