Brock Lesnar Gets Harsh-Sounding Punishment for Two Failed Drug Tests

Brock Lesnar has been formally disciplined for failing two PED tests around his UFC fight against Mark Hunt last July.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has announced that Lesnar is suspended for a year and fined $250k. These both sound significant, but the suspension is retroactive to July so is only going forward seven months, and the fine is 10% of his reported $2.5 million purse.

Lesnar was not disciplined at all by WWE for this infraction. The company reasoned that their drug test policy did not apply to him because he is classified as a part time performer, and allowed him to compete at SummerSlam within a month of the news of his failed tests.
