Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett was his typical dominant self during Thursday night’s victory over the Los Angeles Rams. The Pro Bowler plays up to — and sometimes over — the line, making him an electric player to watch. Because one never knows when he’ll break through for a sack and then draw an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for repeated pelvic thrusts.

Bennett’s celebration was rendered, uh, premature because there was a defensive holding penalty on the play. The Rams accepted that one instead of the one stemming from his unsanctioned thrusting.

And he really should have known better. Don’t take my word for it, though. Here’s Pete Carroll on the penalty: “knows better, doggone it.’’

Hell, every Key & Peele enthusiasts knows that two pumps are fine but three will draw a flag, every time. It’s the Hingle McCringleberry Rule. Learn it. Love it. Apply it.

Bennett’s wham, bamming, and thank you ma’am-ing is another reminder that sometimes life can imitate art once meant to imitate life. There’s beauty when the lines between fantasy and reality are blurred. And sometimes that beauty manifests itself in glorious internet content, as seen below:
