Urijah Faber, a very popular fighter competing in his final UFC match, defeated Brad Pickett by unanimous decision in Sacramento tonight. The crowd, very much in favor of the local product Faber, was absolutely electric throughout. Here was the entrance:

In the first round, Faber nailed Pickett with a left hook, knocking him down. Faber kept pounding Pickett’s head and attempting submission maneuvers, but Pickett, who appeared to be in dire trouble, survived the onslaught.

Faber controlled the second round as well. By this point, Pickett’s face resembled a peach, from the punishment he took earlier. Faber attempted to put Pickett in his guillotine finishing chokehold, but Pickett squirmed out.

While the third round was again mostly Faber, Pickett was able to knock him down once. However, Pickett had been battered enough in the time leading up to that moment that he was unable to really capitalize on it.
