God Spoke Through Ryan Succop's Leg

Ryan Succop kicked a 53-yard game-winning field goal on Sunday in very cold conditions. Succop didn’t even try any kicks of 50 or more yards in practice because it was too cold. When called upon late in the 4th, the Titans kicker missed his first attempt from 53, but an Andy Reid timeout gave him a second chance. That’s when God stepped in. Via ESPN:

"There’s one explanation why that ball went in and it was because it was the Lord’s will for it to go in today and I know that is the case."

So either God was busy watching another game on Sunday Ticket during the first attempt and Andy Reid stalled for Him or Andy Reid’s bad coaching decisions are all part of a grand plan. That certainly would explain some things.
