Phil Jackson and Jeanie Buss Are No Longer Engaged

Long distance relationships are tough to maintain. New York Knicks President Phil Jackson and Los Angeles Lakers President Jeanie Buss announced they were breaking off their engagement, citing “professional obligations” and “geographic distance.”

Buss, daughter of former Lakers owner Jerry Buss, and Jackson began dating in 1999, Jackson’s first season as Lakers head coach.
