Florida Gulf Coast held its own in the first half against Florida State. The 20 minutes were full of high-flying blocks and dramatic dunks. But nothing was more compelling than Eagles forward Demetris Morant at the free-throw line.

Morant shot 63 percent from the charity stripe, an 18 percent improvement from last season. Whatever works.
