Jerry Jones made an appearance on 105.3 The Fan’s Shan and RJ show today and was asked about the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff. A coaching staff that lost two consecutive games by a total of 48 points. Via SportsDay:
“They might not adjust at the right time in a series, they might not adjust at the right time in a ballgame, and obviously they can lose ballgames.
“But this is a really outstanding coaching staff. I’m really proud to have them.”
These are the words of a man who is not at all concerned with actual football results right now. Choosing a new coach would take precious time and resources when Jerry’s current obsession is ruining Roger Goodell’s life and taking back control of the NFL. You can’t do that when you’re thinking about replacing a guy who has finished above .500 twice in six full seasons and won just one playoff game.
