Dallas and Washington entered this season with playoff aspirations and are both clinging to the outside fringes of contention as the calendar nears December. Consequently, it appears as though a lot of fans said “no thanks” to attending the game.

The NFL is still far and away the most popular sport in America, but this amount of empty seats at an intra-division rivalry game where it’s not as though either team has been putrid this season is yet another cause for concern for the league.
