Fact Checking a Very Serious Tweet About LiAngelo Ball's UCLA Living Situation

LaVar Ball pulled LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA on Monday. This led to Adrian Wojnarowski ethering LiAngelo and his pro prospects and another round of LaVar Ball television appearances. It also inspired this slice of life joke about what it means when a college kid leaves school in the middle of the year.

Look at all those RTs and faves. Epic tweeting if I do say so myself. As with any big tweet, it ilicited varying responses. The four main types have been highlighted below.

FACTS

I went to a college that used semesters. UCLA uses quarters. Does that matter for the spirit of the joke? I don’t think so, but that’s probably just another example of the liberal media and fake news.

WELL, ACTUALLY…

The #1 most popular response to this was that LiAngelo actually lives in the apartment that Lonzo Ball lived in while he was at UCLA. This is apparently common knowledge for anyone who watches Ball in the Family. Which makes my tweet wrong and dumb and me a hater.

MIX SPORTS WITH POP CULTURE

The #2 most popular response was to either reference mega-desk from The Office or reply with a Step Brothers gif. These are excellent responses and these people chose fun over fact-checking a silly tweet.

So much room for activities

MEMBER BERRIES

The inspiration for the tweet was that during my sophomore year of college my roommate didn’t return for the spring semester, leaving me with a single in a double. I missed my roommate, but not as much as I loved having a big room all to myself. I did bunk the beds. I did push the desks together. I did have twice as many tiny closets. Member college? That was awesome. Many other people felt the same nostalgia.
