Rita Ora Tweets About "Date Night" with Conor McGregor at British Fashion Awards, Gets Criticized

British singer Rita Ora was at the British Fashion Awards at a table that included Conor McGregor. She sent out a tweet with the hashtag #datenight with pictures of the two, and now finds herself catching heat from McGregor fans watching out for his business.

Conor McGregor has a partner of nine years, Dee Devlin, and they just had their first child this year. Two weeks ago, Devlin posted pictures of the trio taking their son to see Santa Claus.

So Ora’s choice of hashtag immediately prompted fans to criticize her for the tweet and disrespecting Devlin.

According to the Daily Mirror, Ora’s spokesperson said it was just a figure of speech and without specifically denying that they were on a date, said that she posted other things on social media using the term as well.

"But a spokesperson for Rita insisted that the singer meant no offence. “Date night is a figure of speech, Rita also posted selfies with Donatella Versace as her real date and one with Jourdan Dunn as her date,” the spokesperson said. Mirror Online has also reached out to Conor’s representative for comment.  "

McGregor also posted some group photos on his Twitter account, that included Ora among them. For now, we’ll go with “they were just hanging out together at a big celebrity fashion show.”
