The world is a bit funnier today thanks to the tireless work of @BackAftaThis, who unearthed this outstanding audio of Mike and the Mad Dog discussing a very fake story about the heroic military exploits of Mr. Rogers and Captain Kangaroo. Come for the misinformation, stay for the correction. It’s very worth it. To be fair, 2006 was a much different time. People trusted things they saw on the internet and the term “fake news” was seldom heard.
The image of Mr. Rogers with full-sleeve tattoos is something we should all turn to, mentally, in times of need.
