In a massive get for Jim Harbaugh, Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson has announced that he is committing to Michigan:

Because of the NCAA sanctions that Ole Miss is facing, Patterson is likely to be eligible to play immediately for the Wolverines.

Jim Harbaugh has stacked together big recruiting classes at Michigan, but has not yet had a strong quarterback to contend for a national title. Harbaugh has not yet beaten Urban Meyer’s Ohio State team.

This past season, Patterson completed 63.8% of his passes, had 8.69 yards per attempt, and had a 17/9 TD/INT ratio.

This is simultaneously a huge get for Harbaugh, and immediately puts pressure on him to win big in Patterson’s two remaining years of eligibility.
