Tom Brady turns 41 years old today.

As it turns out, he has thrown touchdown passes to 70 different players (not counting pick-sixes). So I thought it would be nice to go down the list and rank them as a nice jaunt down memory lane over 17 years.

This is a ranking of those players. This is not just a ranking of how they did playing with the Patriots. It’s a ranking of the overall careers of everyone who has crossed paths with a touchdown. Some guys, of course, latched on to New England at the end of careers. Congratulations if you can remember half of these from memory.

#1 RANDY MOSS

Randy Moss becomes the first player to enter the Hall of Fame who has caught a touchdown from Tom Brady. He caught 39 of his of 156 career regular season touchdowns from Brady in New England.

#2 ROB GRONKOWSKI

Rob Gronkowski has caught more than twice as many touchdowns from Brady as any other player (75 in the regular season, 12 more in the playoffs).

#3 WES WELKER

Welker went to New England for the 2007 season and was an instant success working with Tom Brady. He led the NFL in catches three different times in five seasons playing with Brady at QB. (Tom, of course, missed almost all of the 2008 season).

#4 CHAD ‘OCHO CINCO’ JOHNSON

Chad Johnson didn’t click with Brady, but he did manage to catch one touchdown pass in 2011. It’s the only one he caught outside of Cincinnati.

#5 COREY DILLON

Corey Dillon had over 11,000 rushing yards in his NFL career and managed to catch two touchdowns in New England.

Mike Vrabel, now the Tennessee Titans coach, served as a goal line tight end in addition to being a pro bowl outside linebacker, and had eight touchdown catches from Brady.

#7 TERRY GLENN

Terry Glenn’s career with New England ended poorly in 2001, as he was deactivated by Bill Belichick. He did, though, catch the first touchdown pass thrown by a young Tom Brady.

#8 LARRY CENTERS

Congratulations if you remembered that Larry Centers made a cameo in 2003 with the Patriots at age 35.

#9 NATE SOLDER

Nate Solder, who protected Brady for 7 years before moving to the Giants this offseason, caught a touchdown in the playoff destruction of the Colts. You know, the game that gave us Deflategate.

#10 ALGE CRUMPLER

Alge Crumpler made four pro bowls in Atlanta, and had six catches in New England in the last season of his career.

#11 TROY BROWN

Troy Brown made the pro bowl in 2001 when he had over 1,200 yards from scrimmage, a career high.

#12 BRANDIN COOKS

Brandin Cooks is 25 years old and already has almost 4,000 yards receiving.

#13 JULIAN EDELMAN

Julian Edelman has 425 career catches and will try to come back from a knee injury and a four-game suspension at age 32.

#14 KEVIN FAULK

Kevin Faulk played 13 seasons in New England as a receiving back and caught touchdowns from Brady in six of them.

#15 DEION BRANCH

Deion Branch is still tied for 4th in regular season touchdown passes from Brady at 24 (with Edelman).

#16 BRANDON LLOYD

Brandon Lloyd led the NFL in receiving yards in 2010 in Denver, and played in New England two years later.

#17 MARTELLUS BENNETT

Martellus Bennett managed to play last year in New England after being too hurt to play in Green Bay.

#18 ANTOWAIN SMITH

Antowain Smith led the Patriots in rushing in the first Super Bowl season with Brady.

#19 BEN WATSON

Ben Watson has gone on to have a nice career after leaving New England at age 30, with over 3,200 yards playing for other teams.

#20 DION LEWIS

Dion Lewis was oft injured in New England but when he played he was a difference maker. He moved to Tennessee this offseason.

#21 JAMES WHITE

James White is trying to be the newer, more dynamic version of Kevin Faulk, and has 12 touchdowns over the last three years playing all over the field.

#22 AARON HERNANDEZ

We can’t wash away history and wipe out that Aaron Hernandez is still 6th in touchdown passes caught from Tom Brady.

#23 DONTE STALLWORTH

Donte Stallworth was the third receiver in 2007 to complement Moss and Welker.

#24 DANNY WOODHEAD

I’m probably going to hear from PFT Commenter about this ranking.

#25 LEGARRETTE BLOUNT

Blount wasn’t used much as a receiver in New England but did manage to catch one.

#26 BRANDON LAFELL

Brandon LaFell’s career best of 966 yards and 7 touchdowns came while playing with Brady in 2014. He also got to dance in the Super Bowl.

#27 JABAR GAFFNEY

Jabar Gaffney has continued to stay busy this offseason if you were wondering if he had anything left in the tank.

#28 DANNY AMENDOLA

Danny Amendola could never match Wes Welker’s accomplishments on the field, but did have the advantage in the tabloid department.

#29 CHRIS HOGAN

Chris Hogan is probably gonna have an 1,100 yard season and join others on this list who had their career years with Brady.

#30 TIM DWIGHT

Tim Dwight was a dynamic punt returner who spent the 2005 season in New England.

#31 DAVID PATTEN

David Patten caught 16 touchdown passes from Brady from 2001-2004.

#32 KYLE BRADY

Kyle Brady finished his 13-year career in New England and caught two touchdowns as a backup tight end in 2007.

#33 CHARLES JOHNSON

Charles Johnson was a first round pick for the Steelers, and had a nice career. His final touchdown catch came from Tom Brady in Brady’s first year as a starter.

#34 MICHAEL FLOYD

The Patriots controversially claimed Michael Floyd after he was released by Arizona following alcohol issues. He caught one touchdown pass in New England and was gone the next year.

#35 SHANE VEREEN

It’s probably appropriate that Vereen is right smack dab in the middle of these rankings, because he was kind of just there in New England as a receiving back.

#36 ANDRE DAVIS

I once had high hopes for Davis in fantasy football, but his tenure in New England did not pan out. The speedster averaged nearly 16 yards per reception for his career and caught a 60-yard touchdown from Brady in 2005.

#37 LAURENCE MARONEY

Laurence Maroney was part of a dynamic backfield at the University of Minnesota along with Marion Barber III, and had an okay career but didn’t really live up to expectations as a first round running back selection.

#38 CHRISTIAN FAURIA

Thirteen of Fauria’s 22 career touchdown catches came from Tom Brady.

#39 DANIEL GRAHAM

I fear I am setting off a “which University of Colorado tight end that played for the Patriots was better” debate here.

#40 TOM ASHWORTH

Tom Ashworth started 30 games at tackle for the Patriots and caught a touchdown on his only career reception in 2005.
