0: Seattle did everything right against the mighty Rams. Zero turnovers. Rushed for 190 yards. Averaged 6.8 yards per play. Playing in front of a noisy home audience. Knocked out two of the Rams best offensive weapons (Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp). And still lost, 33-31.

2: Pat Mahomes threw his first interception of the season … and then threw another. For an afternoon, against one of the best defenses in the NFL, he looked mortal. For the first time all season, he didn’t throw a TD, he only completed 57 percent of his passes, and he had his lowest QBR of the season (72.7) and lowest QB Rating (62.7). He faces Bill Belichick’s Patriots on the road Sunday.

4.6: The Lions only averaged 4.6 yards per play, and if you look at the box score, you wouldn’t know how they beat the Packers. Green Bay had more first downs (30-18), more total yards (521-264), and the Packers averaged 6.9 ypp. So what happened? Turnovers. The Packers fumbled three times, and the Lions recovered all of them, including two inside the Green Bay five-yard line. The Packers also missed four field goals.

5: No receiver in NFL history has started the season with five straight 100-yard receiving games. But Adam Thielen has done it this year with the Minnesota Vikings. Thielen caught seven passes for 116 yards in a win over the Eagles and set a franchise record for most receiving yards through five games (583 yards), topping Randy Moss (515 yards).

10: That’s the total 1st downs for the Arizona Cardinals in their 28-18 triumph over the 49ers. How do you win a game with just 10 first downs? The 49ers had 33 first downs and more than double the yardage of Arizona (447 to 220). The Cardinals scored a defensive touchdown, and the 49ers had five turnovers. Ten is also the number of completions by Josh Rosen (10-of-25, 133 yards).

13: It’s almost as if Ben Roethlisberger really wanted to make his star receiver happy. Sunday at home, Antonio Brown was targeted 13 times, the most since week two, and caught a season-high 2 TDs to go with a season-high of 101 yards. Roethlisberger wanted to please Brown so much, he threw one of the season’s worst interceptions.

24: The Bengals trailed the Dolphins 17-3 entering the 4th quarter. What happened next is the stuff of legend – Ryan Tannehill had two turnovers that were returned for touchdowns – in the span of nine minutes – and Miami lost by 10. I’m still shell shocked.

41: Total rushing yards for the Raiders in their 26-10 loss to the Chargers. Somehow, Marshawn Lynch had just nine carries for 31 yards. Jon Gruden opted not to give Lynch the call on the goal line, Derek Carr threw an interception.

63: On another rough day for NFL kickers, Graham Gano of the Panthers nailed a 63-yarder to beat the Giants, 33-31. Amazingly, it’s the 2nd time in the last two seasons the Giants have lost on a 60+ yard kick. Jake Elliott of the Eagles made a 61-yarder last September to beat the Giants.

219: Isaiah Crowell rushed for a career-high 219 yards in an easy Jets win over the Broncos. He averaged 14.6 yards per carry – the highest in NFL history for anyone who carried 15 or more times.
