Buffalo’s last victory was a historic one as they managed to defeat Syracuse for the first time since 1963. Guard CJ Massinburg was once again the star of the show, scoring 25 points to lead his team to a 71-59 victory. The Bulls remain undefeated, but they’ll face a truly difficult test on Friday night.

Marquette didn’t play spectacular basketball in their last outing against North Dakota, but they still won easily by 26 points despite 22 turnovers. A simple explanation was the players had 10 days off due to final exams, and the rust was evident early on. But Markus Howard showed no signs of slowing down and scored 26, the same number he has averaged during the Golden Eagles’ six-game winning streak.

With a game under their belt following finals and the increase in opponent quality, Marquette will no doubt be ready to give the Bulls a really tough game. Buffalo will attempt to remain undefeated and add another high-profile win to their record before heading into a slightly softer conference schedule.
