(1) O.J. Simpson, 1973, 250 yards
(2) Arian Foster, 2010, 231 yards
(3) Michael Turner, 2008, 220 yards
(4) Eddie George, 1997, 216 yards
(5) George Rogers, 1983, 206 yards
(6) Gerald Riggs, 1984, 202 yards
(7) Duce Staley, 2000, 201 yards
(8) Norm Bulaich, 1971, 198 yards
(9) Curtis Martin, 2004, 196 yards
(10t) Ottis Anderson, 1979, 193 yards
(10t) Eric Dickerson, 1986, 193 yards
How did these men end up at the end of the season? Seven of the ten others ended up in the top six in running back fantasy points that season. Staley missed the season with injury after five games, George Rogers missed three games with injury and finished 23rd, and Eddie George finished 12th while finishing with 1,399 rushing yards. I’m going to say that, playing in a very good passing offense (not necessarily on Sunday, but going forward), he’s going to get the opportunity to score touchdowns, and after that performance, plenty of chances to run the ball, and he will join that group of top six finishers if he remains healthy.
