Ashley Young's 1st Goal Since 2012 Made Ray Hudson Giddy
By Mike Cardillo
Ashley Young found the back of the net today for Manchester United in the League Cup quarterfinals on a rainy Wednesday night at Stoke City. It was the dive-happy winger’s first goal since May 2012.
Watching the video above it’s hard to tell who was more excited by the sizzling strike, Young or beIN Sport commentator Ray Hudson?
It’s a shame Hudson doesn’t call more games involving Premier League teams, isn’t it?
Later Patrice Evra doubled the lead for United. Hudson used the word “orgasmic” (among others, including Jessica Rabbit) to describe the curled strike. The game finished 2-0 and United moved into the tournament’s semifinals where the Red Devils will face off with Jozy Altidore and Sunderland, which upset Chelsea Tuesday.
