Baker Mayfield Is Not a Paul Finebaum Fan

Paul Finebaum dropped some fire on Oklahoma, following their record Final Four loss. Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield took issue on the Twitter.

Finebaum got his job with ESPN and the SEC Network following a very successful 30-plus-year career in newspapers and on radio. Being the Manet of trolling is just one of his gifts. We suspect he played neither football nor basketball at what Mayfield would deem a “relevant” level.
There are former college/professional athletes who do fine work in the sports media. Though, we can be thankful having been one is not a prerequisite for writing and/or talking about such serious matters. We’re surprised more politicians don’t deploy the “have you even held elected office before, bro?” defense.
