Ben Simmons Makes Mesmerizing Go-Ahead Layup, But LSU Fails to Hold On
By Michael Shamburger
Ben Simmons, the future number one pick in the NBA draft, made a spectacular layup against Marquette with 20 seconds left to give the LSU Tigers a one-point lead. Unfortunately the Tigers fouled Marquette and lost 81-80. Simmons touched the ball twice before the clock expired and both times he passed the ball away. Simmons is not just a scoring threat, but a distributor as well, who may need to be more selfish sometimes.
Simmons finished the night with 21 points, 20 rebounds, and 7 assists.
