Charles Barkley: "I've only watched about 5 or 6 full basketball games all year"
By Kyle Koster
One would think Charles Barkley’s job as an in-studio analyst for the NBA on TNT would require he actually monitor basketball games but it sounds like that’s simply not the case.
Appearing on Mike & Mike this morning, the outspoken pundit claimed he’s been able to successfully avoid taking in too much action.
“I’ve only watched about 5 or 6 full basketball games all year,” Barkley said.
As is always the case with Barkley, there’s a very real possibility he was just joking around and has, in fact, been glued to every possession on a nightly basis. Then again, it’s not really that far-fetched to imagine the crew doing almost anything besides watching the game airing on TNT. They keep it loose.
In a few weeks, Barkley will once again join Turner and CBS Sports’ coverage of the NCAA Tournament. It’s unclear how many full college basketball games he’s viewed this season.
The beauty is that his performance will still be entertaining and informative because that’s just what Barkley does.
