CM Punk UFC Debut Delayed Again, Will He Ever Compete There?

CM Punk will undergo surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back, and his much-delayed debut in UFC, where he signed in December of 2014, will be pushed back again, MMAFighting.com reports:

" “My back has always bugged me,” Punk told MMAFighting.com. “Figured it was just wrestling sh*t. Turns out it was. It got bad enough to the point where I couldn’t do anything the week before I went to train with the New Jersey Devils last month. One day I could manage, the next day I couldn’t. I’ve been in agony for almost a month. Chiropractor, acupuncture, massage, cryotherapy … nothing worked.” "

Mickey Gall defeated Mike Jackson this weekend for the right to face Punk; Punk’s debut has already been pushed back by a shoulder injury, and apparently still hopes to have his first match for the promotion in 2016. Stay tuned, I guess.
